Venue

We’d be delighted if you can join us at the Gîte du Passant for our wedding gateway. Le Gîte du Passant is a beautifully renovated barn and mountain hut originally built in 1887, set in the stunning Aravis landscape of the Alps, in Haute Savoie, France.

Coming to the Reception

As described in the program, the wedding will occur in Samoëns and then Le Reposoir. The distance between the villages is 45 minutes of driving, taking a large sealed mountain road, in good condition.

The Gîte du Passant car park can accommodate up to 37 cars across a main road and access track. The remaining path is pedestrian, 15 minutes walking from the main road. Remember to bring comfortable shoes.

Where to sleep during the Wedding?

We have rented the entire Gîte du Passant for the wedding from July, Monday 17th to July, Thursday 20th, which sleeps 50 to 75. A renovated—yet fancy mountain hut, the building is composed of various bedrooms featuring double and single beds. We will share the sleeping arrangements distribution closer to the date.

The price for Tuesday night is 30 euros per person, and additional nights are 20 euros (Monday and/or Wednesday). You can stay one night up to three nights. Pillows are included, but you need to bring sheets/sleeping bags and towels. There is an option of breakfast Tuesday morning (10 euros).

Evening meals on Monday and Wednesday will be a potluck for those who stay with us. Further information will be provided closer to the date.
